| Preethi: "I can walk!" |
I lay on the ground helpless, unable to move. Howling in pain, moaning to find someone to rescue me in vain. I wish I could speak in a human understandable way to reach for help. Clouds of despair surrounded me as I finally slid into unconsciousness. All I vaguely remember is some help reaching me and getting me where I now belong. Karuna has now been my home for 20 days. The compassion of the people has made me understand the essence of the name. Dr. Swetha has been a loving and a caring friend. Preethi, she calls and I try to leap on my feet. Her kindness and love towards me is what I will cherish for my lifetime. Though I somehow understand that I will never be able to walk normally, it is her belief in me that keeps me going. Her attempts to make me feel better fill me with immense happiness and hope to be content.
I feel glad for having had a lovely dog friend. The welcoming staffs’ takes great care to feed me on time and take me around in a small trolley designed for me. I wish to get back well soon. I will surely miss my doctor here!
